Best of British!

Here at Pop HQ we were very excited to see the cream of British Style gather at the Savoy to celebrate the front-runners in fashion here in Old Blighty!

Pop favourite Alexa Chung scooped the award for British Style Icon beating the likes of Mossy and Victoria Beckham.

Take a look at Miss Chung looking delightfully demure in Christopher Kane!

Topping off a fruitful year in fashion Stella Maccartney bagged the Designer Brand of the year award and wowed party goers and press alike in an avant-garde tux inspired jumpsuit!

Model of the year went to Cara Delevigne who sported Pop’s favourite ensemble of the evening. A sleek and very chic metallic shift dress by Burberry.

Pop Couture – Bloggers Christmas Party

Take a sneak peek at our Christmas Bloggers Event, held at Neo Barbican last Thursday evening. Think festive spirit, glitter and glamour galore, as we showcased our Christmas collection to a bundle of bloggers!

‘Pop Star Martini’s’ flowed as the fashionistas perused the rails. Our in house make-up artist, worked wonders treating the girls to on-trend, office to Christmas party looks, glittery lips went down a storm (who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle)

When all the canapés were eaten and the ladies gossiped out, we handed each blogger their Christmas gift, filled with beautiful pop goodies inside, including: popping candy, dazzling jewellery and one of our current best sellers, the psyche top! Happy Christmas Ladies x

Stylist's How To: All That Glitters

4 ways to keep your crowning glory chic this season!

With the festive season firmly in full swing, the Pop office are looking forward to donning our dreamiest party attire and wowing party goers with our glitzy, party prowess!

But no outfit is complete without a perfectly preened and chic crowning glory so here are our top tips for trendy tresses this season!

Hair Ornaments. Decorate your carefully dishevelled up do with ornate hair slides and embellished headbands for a simply stunning way to make a statement this season.

Ponytails. Lo-slung or high and tight! The ponytail is an easy way to keep it chic! The key is to keep it smooth and sharp. Smooth down those bumps and tame those flyaways by using a toothbrush and some hairspray to really control those cow licks!

The Deep Side Part. Perfect when paired with a low, off-centred bun or with pin curls for a very vintage look!

The deep side part adds drama, is simple to achieve and suits everyone! Hooray!

And last but not least if you’re really dedicated to wowing this winter you might want to bite the bullet, brave the chop and get some statement bangs!

Bangs are a great way to draw attention to smouldering eyes! Think Alison Mossheart! Think Bardot! Whether blunt, soft, side sweeping or full and edgy, there is a fringe to suit every face shape!

First Lady’s of Fashion!

Well Done Barack Obama!

Here at Pop Couture we are breathing a sigh of relief that the USA have decided to back Barack once again!

But remember behind every President is a fashionable first lady!

Here’s a few of our favourites!

Jackie Kennedy!

Simply iconic, from perfect pill box hats to impossibly ladylike A-line shift dresses, this first lady’s style has gone down in history as the classic go-to look for chic style!

Michelle Obama!

Michelle Obama, probably the most daring on our list!
She embraces colour, prints and isn’t afraid to ditch the obligatory twin-set in favour of baring those impossibly toned upper arms!

Hilary Clinton!

Hilary sure knows how to accessorise a presidential campaign! Championing the scrunchie and show stopping statement pieces Hilary knows how to steal the show!

Best Dressed Halloween ’12!

Now that Halloween 2012 is officially over we’ve been debating who are the best dressed celeb’s  this year.

Sexy variations on devils, cats, leopards and zombie cheerleaders need not apply!

Topping our list at number one is the usually demure Holly Willoughby looking unzipped and slightly unhinged in this scary looking get up at Jonathon Ross’ annual Halloween bash.

At Number 2 Gisele Bundchen channels the late great Elizabeth Taylor with her Cleopatra costume, complete with braided black wig and Iconic blue eye shadow.

Luckily for Gisele hurricane Sandy stopped Heidi Klum from throwing her annual Halloween extravaganza and inevitably upstaging the Brazilian beauty in this equally as amazing Egyptian get up!

At number 3 Mossy never disappoints when it comes to costumes. This year she is the sultry Morticia Adams. Complete with porcelain skin and black shiny locks we love this look.

Lauren Conrad looked cute as she stepped out with boyfriend William Tell in LA as Mary Poppins.

And finally in at number 5 is 90210’s Shenae Grimes who we can only assume arrived at an LA party as Frankenstein’s Mean Girl!  Perfect, for those preppy LA party goers.
