We love how Rosie adds a tough touch of ‘grunge’ to this Gothic look, juxtapose by the quirky but oh-so hot trilby hat! We’ll be trying this at home.
Here’s what the lovely lady had to say herself…
“Today my outfit is from one of my favourite online shops, Pop Couture. They asked me to style an outfit around one of their new season trends, ‘Gothica’. Well you’ve probably noticed how much I am enjoying all things black, leather and cross-patterned in my wardrobe at the moment, so it’s no surprise that I rose to the challenge happily! I’ve seen this cross jumper around quite a bit recently and had my eye on it for a while (it kinds reminds me of this Topshop Unique beauty), so I couldn’t resist styling it up with some cool leather look panel leggings and my trusty boots and bowler combo! What do you reckon? It’s very….black, but I quite like it! Check out the Pop Couture ‘Gothica’ section for more styles like this, and they have some fab new in’s too – they seem to have gone as crazy for the gothic trend as me with tons of studded and leather panelled items! (I’m in love with this skirt, would have loved to style it with this outfit too!) What do you think of today’s look?”
Are you loving Gothic as much as Rosie and us here at PC HO alike?
We were thrilled to see one of our favourite bands here in the PC HQ office, Alt-J (∆) were short-listed for the Mercury Prize’12 with their album an ‘An Awesome Wave’ realised earlier this year.
‘Alt-J make music that tantalises and delights. Unexpected shards of sound, mesmerising layers of rhythm – irresistible!’
Other favoured entries here at PQ HQ (in no particular order) are Django Django, Lianne La Havas, The Maccabees and Ben Howard.
Good luck to all – especially Alt-J (∆)
What we Drank/ What we ate/ What we saw…
Any Beacons goers will know the weather wasn’t great all weekend, but we didn’t let that dampen out festival spirits as we drank cocktails in the Whitelocks Real Ale tent, cosy and warm by this luscious open fire! As things brightened up we ate the best pizza on earth, sat under the sun at Planet Beacons (perched under the Beacons Hollywood like sign, christened Planet Beacons by the PC team). We cracked up with laughter as we spotted the grass man…can you spot him? said man was innocently taking an afternoon nap (probably after partying too hard along with us at the great acts the night before) when his friends found their amusement by covering his entire body AND FACE in grass! Beacons was full of great art installations, like the neon signs above which featured lines from famous love songs. We were even witness to some live art, watching graffiti artists do their thang!
Our aim was to style hunt and here are those we deemed the most stylish festival goers…
Our favourite looks…
Musical highlights were Willy Mason, Meya Jane Coles, Toots and the Maytals and of course Saturday headliners Wild Beasts stole the show. We had a great weekend and cannot wait until next year. PC x
Last night the stars took to the red carpet in Los Angeles for the MTV Awards.
With stars like Rihanna, Justin Beiber, Drake and Nicki Minaj all winning themselves an award it seemed to be our very own One Direction that were the big winners of the night!
They came away with 3 awards for best pop video, best new comer and the most share-worthy video which was voted for by fans!
